Hourly Wages: $17 - $24 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.

We hire from within for all swim lesson leadership positions, and we are actively filling the leadership roles of Mentor Instructor, Deck Supervisor, and Team Leader. Responsibilities:
- Teach within our set swim curriculum and have students achieve goals within a given period of time.
- Have fun! Create an amazing swim lesson experience for our swimmers.
- Educate and enforce safety rules to prevent accidents & maintain discipline.
- Use appropriate oral communication skills with children and coworkers.
- Be a team player and work well with others!
- Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
Requirements:
- GENUINE love for teaching children.
- Ability to swim; swimming background is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to communicate well & build relationships.
- Availability to work evenings and/or weekends.
- Must be able to adhere to Instructor Attendance requirement of 90% (For example, must be able to commit to teaching your assigned classes 9 weeks out of 10).
- Previous work experience. (volunteer or paid).
- Reliable form of transportation to/from work
- Willingness to be in the water for 4 hours.

Propel Swim Academy is a locally owned and operated family business in South Riding, Virginia. We teach swim lessons to over 1700 children every week, serving over 1,000 unique families! We operate in our privately owned 13,000 sq. ft. facility which is home to 3 warm water pools; each pool is custom built to accommodate swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school. All inquiries about employment at these schools should be made directly to the school location, and not to US Swim School Association.
