Opportunity:
Propel Schools is seeking a Varsity Cheerleading Head Coach for the 26-27 season starting this winter:
- Propel Montour High School
- Propel Braddock Hills High School
- Propel Andrew Street High School
Successful candidates will have:
- Prior cheerleading experience
- Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach or assistant coach, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
- Responsibility for supporting the Varsity program with the athletic director and other coaching staff
- Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
- Understanding of PIAA Competitive Spirit regulations
- Experience in supporting athletic teams during contests
- Understanding of music copyright laws
- Understanding of how to build school morale and school spirit
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- A commitment to the Propel Habits
Season Information:
- The 2026-2027 Varsity Cheerleading Season is scheduled to begin in November and is anticipated to conclude in February, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
- This position includes a seasonal stipend of $2,000. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.

- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
