Propak Energy Services (USA) Ltd. a subsidiary of Propak Systems Ltd., a 50-year leader in modular gas processing and compression, is seeking a small number of top-tier gas-drive mechanics for our Williston, ND operation. This posting is for experienced technicians only: candidates who already run Caterpillar and Waukesha overhauls, startups, and commissioning independently, and who are ready to be paid like it.

This is not a general labor posting and it is not an entry-level role. We are looking for the mechanics other mechanics call when a job goes sideways.

What You'll Do

• Independently diagnose, repair, and overhaul Caterpillar 3500/3600 series and Waukesha VHP/VGF gas engines and Ariel reciprocating compressors
• Lead startups and commissioning on gas-drive compressor packages, including performance-curve setup and clearance adjustments
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, PLC panels, and full compressor package controls without assistance
• Lead multi-tech overhaul and turnaround projects; planning, daily scheduling, and coordinating other technicians
• Communicate directly with client operators on technical scope, findings, and change orders
• Mentor developing technicians and set the field standard for workmanship and documentation
• Travel regionally across North Dakota and Wyoming as project work requires (overnights possible)

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience specifically on Caterpillar and/or Waukesha gas-drive engines
• Strong, verifiable background with Ariel reciprocating compressors
• Proven ability to run overhauls, startups, and commissioning independently, no hand-holding required
• OEM certifications required; Caterpillar 3500 or 3600 series, Waukesha GET/VHP/VGF
• Confident, professional communication with clients and colleagues
• Strong computer literacy for field reporting and documentation
• Clean driving record (able to meet DOT requirements); ability to pass drug screening
• Willingness for overtime and on-call rotation as project demands require
• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive or diesel trade background required

This is in-person work based in Williston, ND, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
