What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Carpenter / Yacht Carpenter position at Prop & Rudder?
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on carpentry experience and takes pride in detailed, finish-quality work. Marine or yacht experience is preferred, but candidates with strong backgrounds in finish carpentry, cabinetry, custom woodworking, or high-end residential/commercial millwork should also be considered.
Key Experience
- Finish carpentry and custom woodworking
- Cabinetry, millwork, and interior installation
- Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling components
- Working with hardwoods, veneers, laminates, and marine-grade materials
- Reading drawings, plans, and specifications
- Repairing and refinishing interior and exterior woodwork
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Comfortable using standard woodworking and power tools
- Yacht, boatbuilding, or marine-refit experience is a major plus
