Assistant Project Manager – Live Entertainment & Fabrication
Proof Productions is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our Senior Project Manager and the broader Project Management team on a wide range of live entertainment, fabrication, and installation projects.
This role requires someone who is equally comfortable behind a computer and on the shop floor or job site. It is a fast-paced, challenging position with significant growth opportunity, offering hands-on experience across many departments and disciplines.
- Support the Senior Project Manager with day-to-day project management across multiple simultaneous projects
- Assist with scheduling, estimating, tracking, and documentation
- Interface with clients, vendors, and internal departments
- Participate in onsite installations, load-ins, and technical support
- Maintain project files, drawings, notes, and run-of-show documents
- Coordinate material orders, logistics, and onsite crew needs
- Support QA, inspections, punch lists, and job-site troubleshooting
- Experience in live entertainment is a must
- Familiarity with scenic construction, rigging, live event and theatrical electrics, scenic automation, and production management
- Able to transition smoothly between office work and physical onsite tasks
- Comfortable working in a rapid, constantly changing environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Basic understanding of Vectorworks is a plus
- Ability to lift, carry, and assist with physical production tasks as needed
This position requires flexibility.
- Standard shop hours are common
- Nights, weekends, and long days typical of live entertainment are also part of the role
