What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onsite Occupational Health Care - Weekend Part time: ATC, LPN or EMT position at Proof Positive Consulting?
Health and Wellness Coordinator: Looking for a coverage person to assist with vacation coverage. This person will be 2-8 shifts per month based on need and availability.
Qualifications: Athletic Trainer (ATC), EMT
Wellness Room/First Aid Supervise the daily operation of the Wellness Room. This includes supervision of the modified light duty program, workers compensation programs and triage and basic first aid for employees.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide triage and basic first aid care, within scope of legal limitations.
- Make proper referral for necessary medical treatment and notify Human Resources when formal medical treatment is sought/necessary.
- Supervise both bargaining unit and salaried/hourly employees during their rehabilitation from on the job injury.
- Coordinate, manage and instruct wellness room activities that focus on preventive of accidents and injury.
- Assist in coordinating safety program and activities with all plant and distribution center safety coordinators.
- Ensure adherence to client policies, procedures and practices.
- Assist with reasonable suspicion, post accident and any drug and alcohol testing as needed.
- Assist with safety orientation/on-boarding of new hires.
- Administrative duties related to worker compensation claim support.
- Support management team in designing and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Conduct safety inspections and injury investigations.
- Conduct safety training classes.
- Weekly and monthly reporting.
- Breath alcohol testing and urine drug screen collections.
- Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment in the wellness room.
- Must be able to take a call/respond to an after hours injury.
