Job Title: Flooring Installer (Tile & Vinyl)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Flooring Installer to install tile and vinyl flooring in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with floor installation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality workmanship while meeting project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install tile and vinyl flooring according to specifications and layouts
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and measuring surfaces
- Cut, lay, and secure flooring materials accurately
- Apply adhesives, grout, and finishes as required
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and overall finish quality
- Remove existing flooring when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety guidelines and job site procedures
- Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress and materials needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior experience installing tile and vinyl flooring (required)
- Knowledge of flooring tools, materials, and installation techniques
- Ability to read measurements and layout plans
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in residential and commercial flooring projects
- Knowledge of waterproofing, leveling compounds, and subfloor prep
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Work Environment:
- Residential and commercial job sites
- Physically demanding work including kneeling, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
