Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing
- Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the Regional Director of Respiratory Operations, at the company’s expense
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
- At least 2 years’ experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required
- Experience in the homecare/DME setting is highly desirable
- Must have the desire and skill to lead a team of Respiratory Therapists
- Previous experience leading RTs in the field is highly desirable
- CRTT certification is highly desirable
- Current CPR certification is required
- Keep patient, employee, and financial information confidential in accordance with company procedures and HIPAA regulations1.
- HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) ensures the privacy and security of health information.
- Review admission criteria and assess patient home care candidacy.
- Address safety and environmental concerns during patient admission.
- Oversee ongoing patient assessments, including status, equipment, maintenance, and psychosocial aspects.
- Train and educate new staff members, documenting their orientation.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Technicians on inventory, equipment needs, and preventative maintenance.
- Work closely with the Regional Director on branch operations.
- Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient Plans of Service.
- Triage patient issues and new discharges.
- Lead in implementing clinical and organizational process changes.
- Assist with scheduling new hospital and outpatient set-ups and follow-up visits.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
- Other duties as assigned
