Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers automatic transmissions across regional routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. But normally home every night.
- Transport freight using Flatbed trailer
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while following proper manual handling procedures and logistics cargo handling protocols. Normally we do NOT tarp loads
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan routes accurately and ensure timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Maintain accurate trip reports of driving hours, inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure truck safety .
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving within regional or OTR settings.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard materials regulations, and safety protocols for hazardous goods transportation.
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy.
- Skilled in truck loading and unloading processes with attention to safety procedures for manual handling.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailer & flatbed operations is essential.
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling practices to ensure freight integrity during transit.

Pay: $1,855.82 - $2,145.44 per week
