Job Summary:
The Recovery Relations Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking support or information from our agency. They will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment, assisting visitors with inquiries, and providing administrative support to the organization. Recovery role modeling, individual advocacy, systems advocacy, and other support services. documentation, reporting, and outcomes required by PRN and or other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members or departments.
- Respond to inquiries from individuals seeking information about our services, programs, and resources.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, kitchen area, and common areas.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and provide support as needed.
- Complete and assist individuals in filling out Hub Interest forms.
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in handling sensitive information.
- Assist with other related duties as assigned by Site Manager or Executive Leadership.
- Clean up the Kitchen at the end of the day and keep kitchen stocked.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of empathy, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about best practices in peer support and recovery-oriented services, incorporating new insights into the team's approach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners/stakeholders, including court officials, MH/SUD agencies, and other community organizations.
- Ability to interface with peers, colleagues, service providers, family members, and community members in an empathetic, professional manner and represent the agency with a high level of professionalism.
- Facilitating and/or co-facilitating small and large group classes on recovery-related topics, including sharing your personal journey of recovery.
- Ability to establish a rapport with people of various cultural and/or economic backgrounds.
- Coordinate and/or provide Peer Service activities including, but not limited to: establishing individualized recovery plans, providing support in the community as well as at recovery education programs, facilitating recovery classes as scheduled, and outreach to potential peers and community.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, peer support for peer supporters, and team/group activities and actively attend PRN “all staff” meetings.
- Assist supervisor and executive leadership in the ongoing development of Recovery Hub when needed.
- Support in facilitating new employee program onboarding.
- All other duties assigned by Supervisor and Executive Leadership.
Qualifications:
· Personal history of recovery and a strong commitment to the principles of peer support.
· Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and contribute to a positive team culture.
· Ability to manage time, complete tasks accordingly.
· Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently and/or within a team.
· Effective conflict resolution skills.
· Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software, specifically Microsoft suites, including Teams.
· Extremely organized, focused, and excellent time management skills.
· High School Diploma Required
· Current NC Certified Peer Support Specialist.
· Valid NC Driver’s License.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
