About The Position
The Lead Facilitator will be responsible for promoting and providing access to classes that ensure PRN philosophies/expectations are demonstrated in accordance with the eight dimensions of wellness. This includes class facilitation, curriculum development, program development in alignment with the Fidelity model, recording feedback from class participants, and overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures of the Recovery Hub. The Lead Facilitator will carry a minimal caseload of up to 8 peers, and will be responsible for recovery role modeling, building recovery plans, and completing documentation in EHS. The Lead Facilitator will also develop community resources for teaching opportunities both at the Recovery HUB and in the community.

About The Position

Responsibilities
- Manage Peer education training activities, curriculum, classes/groups/activities, and workshops, which include analyzing and evaluating training requirements.
- Develop and post class/activities/group descriptions for the respective calendars and postings.
- Review and approve/deny all classes/activities/groups being offered prior to their addition to the calendar and offerings.
- Research new training and educational materials; evaluate and update training and education programs to keep current with new technologies; consult with staff members, and other service providers to ensure training information is current and progressive.
- In collaboration with the Recovery Hub Leadership, identify and diversify classes/activities/groups needed to meet the needs of the individuals served and implement accordingly within the 8 dimensions of wellness.
- Teach classes as deemed appropriate and within content and subject expertise or fill-in, arrange to have fill-in for classes when the instructor is absent or when there is an instructor vacancy.
- Prepare correspondence, bulletin boards, flyers related to the training and education classes.
- Network with outside community partners to coordinate offerings for onsite activities/groups/class
- Ensure that outside facilitators understand PRN methods, mission, and values prior to their session
- Provide Class facilitator trainings for peers interested in leading a class/activity/group.
- Oversee and mentor new facilitators and allow individuals to shadow while performing job duties related to education.
- Sit in classes when new facilitators need extra support.
- Participate in the Peer Town halls to obtain input and insight for offerings and improvement plans.
- Provide educational classes in the community at events, community partners, and or any other situations where PRN is invited to do a class.
- Responsible for designing and creating the calendar.
- Sit in and observe 50% of all classes offered to review content, presentation, facilitator, and anything else needed to ensure that classes are productive and purposeful.
- Other duties as assigned by HUB leadership and/or Executive Team.
- Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist.
- Belief in the recovery potential of all people and is committed to the philosophy of peer support by reinforcing their ability to work and/or achieve personal goals.
- Ability to receive guidance, training, and mentoring to grow skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrates leadership by modeling PRN’s mission, values, philosophy, and guidance to team members.
- Demonstrates taking personal responsibility, being dependable, reliable, working as a team player, and utilizing personal determination skills.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, is ethical and approachable.
- Ability to interact effectively with the public, providers, and other stakeholders.
- Committed to personal recovery and wellness and has a personal history of recovery and lived experiences in seeking and receiving crisis-based support.
- Ability to manage time and complete tasks.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation.
- Demonstrate honesty, and integrity, is ethical, and is approachable.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) using active and reflective listening, asking curious questions, validating others’ experiences, remaining non-judgmental, and demonstrating effective conflict resolution skills.
- Must have a valid NC Driver’s license.
