Position Summary
The Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming intake process. This role is responsible for gathering client information, verifying eligibility, coordinating services, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for new clients via phone, email, and in person
- Conduct intake interviews and collect required documentation
- Enter and maintain accurate client data in systems/CRM
- Verify client eligibility and required information
- Coordinate referrals and service placements
- Communicate with clients, case managers, and external partners
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all regulations
- Track intake progress and follow up with clients as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks related to client onboarding
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
- Previous experience in intake, customer service, healthcare, or social services preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and data entry skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with CRM systems, case management software (like Casebook), or similar tools is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance is preferred
