POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the coordination of building space (on-site and remotely) allocation and layout, production lines, facility expansion, and all improvements sent over by headquarters.
  • Oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program to comply with ISO Standards.
  • Maintain production lines electricity and pipefitting.
  • Plans, budgets and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates.
  • Initiate planned maintenance programs for a variety of equipment, seeking out new tools to maintain current with trends.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, office equipment, etc.
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of facility.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for all state, federal and insurance semi-annual and annual inspections.
  • Keep up on technological changes such as retrofitting machinery to meet today’s new laws and efficiency standards.
  • Installs, moves, repairs and removes equipment and utilities within the building.
  • Contracts with and supervises all outside contractors.
  • Actively participates and contributes in the safety committee.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Required:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitudes and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
  • Familiar with local building codes and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiar with all current health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work well with changing priorities and/or situations.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels.
