As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their treatment goals. Your primary responsibilities will include administering manual physical exercises, instructing and encouraging patients in non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities. You will also apply assistive and supportive quality care to patients as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. You must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record, as driving is a requirement of this position. In addition, you must meet eligibility requirements for home health services and continue to maintain therapy sessions with patients.
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduation from an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program and in-state licensure. Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a home health setting is preferred but not required. Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program
- In-state licensure
- 1 year of home health experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (preferred)
