What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radio Frequency (RF) Technician position at Promex Industries?
Position Summary:
Responsible for tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing RF products utilizing both manual and automated testing equipment. This role involves interpreting test data and making precise adjustment to achieve optimal module and system performance.
Essential Duties:
· Utilize automated testing stations to assess the performance of products against predefined specifications.
· Perform RF tuning of power amplifier modules and other RF products.
· Conduct tests employing digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, Network Analyzers, power meters, and other RF test equipment.
· Troubleshoot RF modules and subsystems by identifying defective component and assembly issues that affect performance. Often required to work under a microscope.
· Following test procedures and referencing rework documents.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A minimum of five years of experience as an RF Technician or in a comparable position, ideally within the RF microwave or related industry.
· Familiarity with microwave and RF systems (up to 40GHz).
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
· Proven ability to work under a microscope.
· High School diploma.
Key Competencies:
Work experience with digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, Network Analyzers, and other RF test equipment.
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have good communication skills.
Practical working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in contract manufacturing clean room environment. Experienced in working within ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21CFR 820 (QSR), and ITAR environments.
Work Environment:
Indoors, environmentally controlled. Wear common ESD and protective equipment as necessary (i.e. safety glasses, gloves). While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $27.11 - $32.65 per hour
