Role Overview
The AI Transformation Program Manager / AI Roadmap & Deployment Lead helps Prometheus clients define, prioritize, govern, and deploy practical AI-enabled capabilities across the business. This role is not expected to be a hands-on machine learning engineer, but must be able to translate business problems into AI opportunities, build an executable roadmap, guide stakeholders through responsible adoption, coordinate technical and business teams, and drive pilots into scaled operating solutions with clear value measurement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead AI strategy and roadmap efforts, translating executive priorities into a sequenced portfolio of practical use cases, pilots, dependencies, owners, costs, risks, and measurable outcomes.
- Facilitate discovery workshops with business, IT, data, security, legal/compliance, and executive stakeholders to identify pain points, automation opportunities, data constraints, and adoption barriers.
- Create use case assessment frameworks that score opportunities by business value, feasibility, data readiness, complexity, risk, time-to-value, and scalability.
- Develop AI roadmaps that separate quick wins, controlled pilots, foundational enablement, and longer-term transformation opportunities.
- Build business cases and value realization models for AI initiatives, including productivity gains, cycle-time reduction, cost avoidance, revenue enablement, quality improvements, risk reduction, and user adoption metrics.
- Establish project governance, including steering cadence, intake process, decision rights, RAID management, responsible AI review, change control, communication routines, and executive reporting.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery across business process owners, IT, data/analytics, architecture, cybersecurity, legal, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Manage AI pilots from concept through launch, including requirements, process design, data needs, vendor/tool coordination, test planning, training, user feedback, go-live readiness, and adoption measurement.
- Support AI tool and platform evaluations, helping clients compare options such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, Salesforce AI, ServiceNow AI, Power Platform, automation tools, knowledge management platforms, and industry-specific solutions.
- Define practical guardrails for AI use, including acceptable use, human-in-the-loop review, data privacy, security, prompt/content handling, model/output validation, auditability, and support ownership.
- Partner with change management and functional leaders to drive adoption, communication, training, role impacts, and behavior change across impacted user groups.
- Produce executive-ready deliverables such as roadmap decks, decision memos, use case portfolios, governance models, status reports, value tracking dashboards, and implementation plans.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of program management, transformation, management consulting, digital transformation, technology strategy, or enterprise implementation experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading AI, automation, analytics, digital transformation, process improvement, or technology-enabled business change initiatives.
- Ability to build a pragmatic AI roadmap that balances business value, technical feasibility, data readiness, change impact, security, and risk.
- Strong understanding of how AI can be applied across business functions such as IT, finance, customer service, sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, HR, legal, and back-office workflows.
- Experience facilitating executive and cross-functional workshops, synthesizing input, framing options, driving decisions, and producing clear deliverables.
- Strong project management discipline, including scope, schedule, RAID, decision logs, dependency management, stakeholder management, communication planning, and status reporting.
- Ability to partner effectively with technical teams without needing to personally build models or code AI solutions.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to explain AI opportunities, limitations, risks, and tradeoffs in plain business language.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where the roadmap, governance, tools, adoption model, and value case may need to be built from scratch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, ServiceNow AI, Power Platform, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Experience in consulting, private equity portfolio companies, mid-market transformation, manufacturing, distribution, CPG, retail, healthcare, or professional services.
- Experience creating AI governance, responsible AI controls, acceptable use policies, prompt/use case guidelines, data governance, or model risk review processes.
- Experience connecting AI initiatives to ERP, CRM, service desk, knowledge management, data/analytics, integration, document management, or workflow automation platforms.
- Experience with value realization, benefits tracking, ROI modeling, operating model design, and change management.
- PMP, Prosci, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, product management, data/analytics, cloud, AI, or security certification is helpful but not required.
