Position SummaryPrometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies, seeking a Junior Healthcare Scheduling Coordinator to be a part of a team supporting federal contracts with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) / Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The Junior Healthcare Scheduling Coordinator will support the day-to-day scheduling and coordination of clinical and non-clinical positions across multiple projects. This role ensures adequate coverage, timely communication, and smooth operational flow for services. The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with creating, updating, and maintaining daily and weekly schedules for clinical and non-clinical positions across multiple projects.Monitor staffing needs in real time and support rapid rescheduling adjustments.Communicate schedule changes, shift confirmations, and staffing requirements to partners.Track time, attendance, call-outs, and coverage gaps; escalate issues as needed.Coordinate with Onboarding and Credentialing Teams to determine clearance timelines for new staff.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in scheduling tools/systems.Support reporting needs, including schedule adherence, shift coverage, and utilization metrics.Review timecards submitted by partners and clients.Distribute timecards to partners on a weekly basis.Escalate any issues or discrepancies found while reviewing timecards.Provide general administrative support to the scheduling and operations team.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.Minimum two (2) years of administrative, scheduling, or coordination experience (healthcare environment preferred).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, and communication tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship. Ability to obtain public trust.
