Role Description

Summary/Objective 

A Senior Analyst in our Managed EDI Services Department is responsible for supporting the EDI-related technical and business processing of our clients, along with assisting in the support of Promethean’s internal network and processes. A Senior Analyst is expected to be able to handle support needs for multiple clients of varying sizes and scope, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and be able to handle a Project Leader role for conversions and other client or internal projects.

Essential Functions and Requirements

·        Proficiency in Electronic Data Interchange protocols and standards

Maintain, support, and monitor one or more Managed EDI clients

·        Maintain, support, monitor and develop EDI-related internal systems within the Promethean network

·        Assist other team members as needed on client support, coverage, input on technical issues, and process improvement

·        Take on a Project Leader role for conversions or other client and internal projects

·        Take on a Supervisor and management role while managing multiple Team Members

·        Provide management and peers with feedback and timely reporting on project/task progress and ideas and contribute to the overall growth of the company

·        Interact in the highest professional manner with all existing, as well as potential Promethean clients and business partners

·        In-depth knowledge with hands-on experience with EDI translation software such as GENTRAN or B2B Integrator

·        Extensive experience with VAN’s and Trading Partner routing concepts

·        Experience in interfacing with multiple ERP / back office systems, including SAP

·        Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross functional teams

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience

5 years of experience with hands-on EDI technical support, mapping, and customer/trading partner interaction

Supervisory Responsibility

In some cases, Senior Analysts may be in a supervisory role, whether as an ongoing Project Leader or during a conversion or other long-term project

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexible time available to ensure a 40 hour work week. Promethean’s processes require a 24x7 operation, and there are times when additional time or off-hours support is required to meet the needs of a client or of the company in the event of a technical emergency or other incidents or occasions.

Travel

This position requires very little travel. Travel may be required to a client or potential client site to assist in

analysis, training, or other support but this is very rare.
