ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital is a 169-bed facility that has grown to be the region’s leading pediatric care facility. Highlights of our facility include a Level IIIb 72-bed unit Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that provides care for premature babies as early as 22 weeks gestation and as small as 14 oz.; the region’s largest Level II pediatric trauma center; a state-of-the-art cancer center for pediatric cancer patients; and the first dual-certified asthma program for treating both inpatient and outpatients by the Joint Commission in Ohio.
Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the Teen PEP program, a youth led violence prevention program that partners with multiple secondary schools each year. This position is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the program in collaboration with participating schools, program funders, hospital administration and other agencies as required. Provides supervision to a small staff of employees and supports all staff through training, coaching, and role modeling skills necessary for effective program operations. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees curriculum development, training and fidelity practices in various youth populations, applying cultural competency and developmentally appropriate training strategies with youth from a variety of demographics
- Directs program expansion efforts and solicits program participation from area schools and districts across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan; develops contracts and MUO’s when necessary
- Responsible for creating and managing budgets; generates program outcome and fiscal reports to various funding sources and supervisor on a monthly and quarterly basis (or as requested)
- Actively seeks and secures additional funding opportunities; responsible for marketing program to regional school districts, philanthropic organizations and media outlets to continuously increase program visibility and grow partnerships
- Works with local media outlets and various community partners to educate youth, parents and other community members, as well as overseeing all aspects of social media marketing for the program
- Bachelors in Education, Public Health, Social Work or related field is required; Masters preferred
- A minimum of three (3) years working with youth populations
- Previous experience in grant writing, computer/verbal/written communication skills, Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as public speaking experience
- Working knowledge of current research and evidence based practices with regard to promoting effective youth violence prevention strategies
- Must have valid State of Ohio driver's license
