As a Supply Chain Technician, you will ensure the right supplies and equipment are available when needed for the patient care team. By optimizing supply chain processes, you contribute to improved operational efficiency, reduced costs, and better patient outcomes.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Orders, delivers and stocks supplies for assigned departments as scheduled, maintaining proper par levels and storage space on shelves. Accountable for reporting to supervision needed adjustments to inventory and par levels according to utilization.
- Responsible for checking expiration dates, stock rotation and removal of excess inventory in managed inventory locations.
- Promotes teamwork and collaboration with co-workers, customers, and leadership to problem-solve and promote innovative solutions to provide the right product at the right time at the right place.
- Processes and delivers supply and equipment requests. Uses good judgment in responding to requests for specific patient items and determines the best method and timing of delivery, i.e., routine vs. stat.
- Unloads, inspects, and checks material and supplies arriving at the dock, noting special storage, or handling instructions. Maintains appropriate documentation for tracked items, i.e., tissue.
- Handles all facets of outbound shipments in a cost-effective manner, documenting applicable RGA and tracking information, while ensuring that all shipments are timely as required by our customer.
- As directed, enters patient charges and orders/documents using appropriate vendor webstes as applicable. Demonstrates the supply chain supporting behaviors of accountability, collaboration, reliability, dedication, and integrity. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have effective interpersonal, oral, and/or written communication skills.
- Must be able to understand directions, communicate, and respond to inquiries.
- Must have ability to work independently and think critically to problem solve.
- Must have knowledge of Windows-based computer programs and the capacity for learning specialized software programs.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in materials management
