What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate I position at Proman Staffing?
PROMAN Staffing is thrilled to support our National Manufacturing client to source and hire a Warehouse Associate I to join their Romeoville, IL team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Verify, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Record shortages, damages, and maintain lot traceability documentation
- Operate a forklift to move materials to storage or work areas
- Enter inventory transactions and track inventory using barcode scanners
- Maintain FIFO inventory control and accuracy
- Pick, assemble, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Verify counts, weights, and packaging; handle bulky material prep
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate carrier pickups
- Load trailers and maintain shipping records
- Work overtime as needed and perform additional assigned duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years of related warehouse or logistics experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP systems (e.g., D365) a plus
- Strong communication, reading, and basic math skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Salary : $17 - $20
