PROMAN Staffing has partnered with our international client to source and hire a Sr. Power Systems Engineer to join their team in Round Rock. TX. This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity!
What You’ll Do:
- Lead concept development and one-line designs for power distribution and protection systems (480 V to 161 kV).
- Ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant architecture from utility interface to IT loads.
- Provide PE stamp as required.
- Perform system studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protection.
- Define ratings, configurations, and protection schemes for HV/MV/LV equipment, UPS systems, generators, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for performance, safety, and cost.
- Support factory testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5 years in power system design; data center experience a plus.
- Hands-on with ETAP, SKM, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards.
- Familiarity with MV gear, generator paralleling, and microgrid concepts preferred.
- License: Texas PE or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
