The Supervisor/Team Lead for Material Handling is responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and control of materials within a facility. This role ensures that raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

The Supervisor/Team Lead for Material Handling is responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and control of materials within a facility. Core Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse and material handling operations — including receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards — such as forklift operation, OSHA regulations, and proper handling of hazardous materials
- Manage material flow — coordinating the movement of goods to support production schedules and customer delivery performance
- Train and lead team members — mentoring staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures
- Monitor inventory accuracy — conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate records
- Support supply chain activities — including procurement planning, kitting, and ensuring material availability
- forward-thinking leader who demonstrates ingenuity, embraces continuous improvement, and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance material flow, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and team performance.
- Safety procedures and OSHA compliance are top priorities
- Experience with cycle counts, lean manufacturing, and assembly line operations is common
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate between departments.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
