Overview
ProLogic ITS is looking for a technically proficient and resourceful Computer Technician to join our team!
In this hands-on, customer-focused role, you will configure, image, and repair computers, laptops, tablets, and peripherals, while supporting end-users and maintaining IT assets. You will ensure all devices operate smoothly and efficiently, providing practical solutions and excellent service across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging of desktops, laptops, and iPads using company-approved deployment tools.
- Conduct asset tagging and laser etching for equipment identification and tracking.
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues for computers, laptops, tablets, and printers.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and basic software applications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with IT asset management processes.
- Conduct functional testing and quality control of all prepared devices before deployment.
- Provide basic end-user technical support for hardware issues and troubleshooting.
- Follow defined processes and documentation standards for deployments and repairs.
- Coordinate with the purchasing and IT teams for hardware replenishment and replacement.
- Maintain an organized and clean workbench and storage areas.
- Perform warranty repairs and coordinate vendor repairs as needed.·
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related technical field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in computer hardware support or IT help desk.
- Experience imaging computers using tools like SCCM, MDT, Jamf, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11, iPadOS, and macOS operating systems.
- Basic understanding of IT asset tracking processes.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and peripherals.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in complex technical environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with laser etching or engraving equipment for asset labeling (training can be provided).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , ACMT (Apple Certified Mac Technician), or similar.
- Familiarity with MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune) for managing iPads and other mobile devices.
- Experience performing warranty repairs for major brands (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
