Travel Registered Nurse – PCU / Stepdown
Multiple Ohio Locations | 13–16 Week Travel Contracts | Day & Night Shifts Available
Prolink is looking for Registered Nurses to work in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Stepdown units throughout Ohio. These assignments offer exposure to high-acuity cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and medical-surgical patient populations.

Assignment Details
- Specialty: PCU / Stepdown
- Contract Length: 13–16 Weeks
- Schedule: 36 Hours/Week (3x12s)
- Weekly Gross Pay: Up to $2,006/week
Patient Populations
- Cardiac stepdown patients
- Post-cardiac cath patients
- CHF, COPD, NSTEMI, Afib
- Respiratory failure patients
- Trauma and surgical stepdown
- ICU stepdown populations
- Renal, GI bleed, and neurological patients
Required Skills
- Ventilator experience required
- Tracheostomy care experience preferred/required for some units
- BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Oxygen therapies
- Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Management of heparin, amiodarone, cardizem, nitro, and insulin drips
- Post-cath recovery experience preferred
- Strong higher-acuity experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown experience
- Travel nursing experience required for select facilities
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
- Passing facility Dysrhythmia Exam required
- No local candidates accepted
Unit Highlights
- Unit sizes ranging from 18–28 beds
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Days: 1:4–5
- Nights: 1:5
- Mixed IMC, PCU, and Stepdown populations
- Floating to like units may be required
- Opportunities for 48-hour contracts at select facilities
Compensation Package
- Weekly Gross: Up to $2,006.25
- Base Rate: $21.12/hr
- Overtime Rate: $31.68/hr
- Lodging Per Diem: $833/week
- Meals & Incidentals Per Diem: $413/week
