What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enclosure Carpet Finisher position at Proline X?
About Us
Audio Intensity is a car audio retailer and manufacturer based in Tullahoma, Tennessee. We build Proline X subwoofer enclosures in house, CNC cut from premium MDF, and ship them to customers across the country. Our owner has over 40 years in the car audio industry and holds national sound quality championship titles, so we care about doing things right. Box building volume is growing fast, and we need a dedicated finisher to keep up.
The Role
You'll own the carpet stage of our enclosure production. Assembled enclosures come to you from our assembly department, and you turn them into clean, finished products ready for quality control and shipping. This is hands-on shop work where neat, consistent results matter on every single box.
What You'll Do
- Apply automotive carpet to assembled subwoofer enclosures using spray adhesive
- Trim and wrap edges, corners, and cutouts cleanly, with tight seams and no wrinkles or bubbles
- Work across a mix of box styles, from our standard in-stock designs to one-off custom builds
- Keep up with daily production so orders meet our 5 working day ship window
- Update order status on our shop tracking board as boxes move through your stage
- Keep your work area, tools, and materials organized
- Flag any assembly issues before carpeting so they get fixed, not covered up
What We're Looking For
- Experience with carpet, upholstery, vinyl wrapping, or trim work is a strong plus (car audio, auto upholstery, boat or RV trim, furniture, or flooring)
- Good eye for detail and pride in clean, finished work
- Comfortable with hand tools, utility knives, and spray adhesives
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to [75] lbs
- Reliable, on time, and able to work steadily through a daily workload
- No experience? If you're handy, careful, and willing to learn, we'll train you
