Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Product Owner – Automation Framework to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of automation frameworks supporting virtualized Android, Linux/QNX, and Qualcomm SOM–based IFE systems. This role requires deep technical understanding, strong product leadership, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Leadership & Strategy
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the Automation Framework supporting Android- and Linux-based IFE systems.
- Prioritize automation features and capabilities based on business value, technical feasibility, team capacity, and delivery timelines.
- Define KPIs for automation coverage, stability, efficiency, and adoption across platform teams.
- Guide automation efforts involving:
- Virtualized Android environments
- Linux & QNX subsystems
- Qualcomm SOM hardware
- IFE system integration and certification workflows
Backlog & Execution
- Write clear and detailed epics, features, and user stories for automation tooling, framework enhancements, APIs, and execution workflows.
- Refine backlog items with engineering teams to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with automation strategy.
- Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master and Engineering Lead to ensure predictable, sprint-based execution.
Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with Android platform engineers, Linux/QNX teams, Qualcomm chipset specialists, and virtualization architects.
- Understand the overall automation framework architecture, including hardware abstraction, virtualized interfaces, orchestration layers, and reporting infrastructure.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between automation engineering and product/program stakeholders.
- Gather requirements from platform software teams, verification teams, airline program teams, and integration labs.
- Communicate roadmap, progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and consistently across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of relevant experience (mandatory).
- Strong hands-on understanding of Automation Frameworks.
- Experience working with Virtualized Android, Linux/QNX, and Qualcomm SOM environments (must-have).
- Background working with In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, preferably with automation or embedded systems.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
