Training Location: Newport News, VA (First 4 months)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Trainer Production 3 with strong machining and production training experience. This role includes hands-on on-the-job training, skills coaching, and some classroom instruction for assembly and production personnel.
The ideal candidate will contribute to designing, improving, and implementing training programs, introducing new production processes, and maintaining detailed training and certification records.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-the-job, skills-based, and limited classroom training for assembly and machining teams.
- Support development and rollout of new training programs and improved manufacturing processes.
- Introduce new sequences and workflows to production areas as needed.
- Maintain trainee progress records, exam results, and certification documentation.
- Monitor learning performance and provide feedback to management.
Shift Details
Candidates must be flexible for either shift:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon–Thu)
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Mon–Thu)
Travel Requirements
- Yes. Mandatory travel to Newport News, VA for up to 4 months of training before transitioning to Charleston, SC.
Work Environment
- Onsite only — No remote option
- Primary work site: Inside facility (Charleston, SC after training)
- Elevator available in the building

Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience,
OR
- Apprentice Graduate / Associate Degree and 3 years of related experience
- Machining training experience strongly preferred
- Certifications may be required depending on the scope of work
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.05 - $28.97 per hour
