Electrical Engineer (DO-254 | ITAR)

Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to support aerospace hardware development programs in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in analog and digital circuit design, hardware testing, and aerospace compliance standards.

Note: This is an ITAR-compliant position – only U.S. Citizens are eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop analog and digital circuits for aerospace applications
• Create and review schematic designs using industry-standard tools
• Perform simulation and analysis to validate circuit performance
• Capture and manage requirements using DOORS
• Develop functional test cases, procedures, and reports
• Conduct hardware testing for functionality and performance validation
• Troubleshoot circuits and PCBA issues
• Ensure compliance with DO-254 standards for airborne electronic hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Electrical Engineering preferred)
• 5–8 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience
• 4 years of hands-on experience in analog & digital circuit design
• Experience with schematic design tools
• Strong knowledge of simulation and circuit analysis
• Experience with DOORS for requirements management
• Ability to develop and execute test procedures and reports
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing and troubleshooting (PCBA)
• Familiarity with DO-254 process

Preferred Skills:

• Aerospace or avionics domain experience
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience working in regulated engineering environments
