Title: Data Center Network Engineer
Location: New Albany, OH (Onsite)
We are seeking a Connectivity Engineer to support the physical infrastructure of hyperscale data centers. This role ensures seamless connectivity for critical services by managing the full project lifecycle — from initiation to production turnover — while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Define scope, schedules, milestones; collaborate with construction teams.
Best Practices: Document efficiencies, support SOP/SIP development with vendors.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist project controls team, communicate project status.
Connectivity Scope:
Manage OSP infrastructure per design.
Ensure rack/patch/stack build quality.
Troubleshoot network turnup during provisioning.
Coordinate ENS/RSE provisioning.
Conduct QA/QC audits, validate designs, oversee vendor safety programs.
Support change orders and RFI responses.
Candidate Requirements
MustHave Skills:
Hyperscale data center connectivity (rack/patch/stack, link audits, provisioning).
ISP/networking background.
Vendor management.
NicetoHave Skills:
Google/AWS hyperscale experience.
Prior Meta/hyperscale experience.
OSP experience.
Experience: 10 years (no degree required).
DaytoDay Activities
Vendor management and QA/QC oversight.
Leading link audits (testing, ticket creation, resolution).
Removing roadblocks and escalating issues.
Tracking materials and coordinating deliveries.
Managing audit tickets for failed links and driving resolution.
Coordinating provisioning activities with ENS/RSE teams.
Performance Metrics
Audit volume and closure speed.
RFI response time and quality.
“Right the First Time” (RTFT) pass rates on link tests.
