Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer RF Microwave Design 2 to support a Navy-led team developing advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) systems for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge RF technologies supporting military aircraft and defense systems.
This is a 100% onsite position supporting development activities at a Navy facility near Point Mugu, California.
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Key Responsibilities
Support RF hardware design, prototyping, integration, and testing activities.
Review operational scenarios, RF architecture frameworks (DoDAF), and RF performance requirements.
Assist in RF component specification and selection including:
Transceivers, Antennas, Amplifiers, Filters, Switches, Couplers, Splitters, RF cabling
Evaluate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and vendor-developed RF components.
Support RF bench testing, chamber testing, and prototype validation.
Assist in developing RF block diagrams and RF switching hardware.
Conduct Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and document test results.
Troubleshoot RF system issues and support system integration efforts.
Support EMI/EMC compliance activities in accordance with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464.
Participate in laboratory and flight-test RF performance evaluations.
Support configuration management and RF technical documentation efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with 2 years of experience
OR Master's degree with 1 year of experience
OR PhD with 0 years of experience
Active Secret Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience working with RF systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team
Ability to work onsite in a Navy development environment
