Prokuma Inc., a growing industry leader in machine building, system integration, and engineering, is currently seeking experienced candidates for a Lead Electrical Panel Builder position in our Evansville, Indiana location.
The position is responsible for layout of electrical control panels, layout of electrical enclosures, cutting, wiring, and assisting with panel testing. The candidate must contribute to the overall atmosphere with a positive, safety conscious, and proactive nature.
• Provide high quality and accurate panel and enclosure layouts based on supplied drawings
• Drill and tap mounting holes for electrical components
• Cutout openings as needed in mild steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, plastic or other materials
• Manage and assist in installing panels into enclosures
• Maintain appropriate working levels of all sizes and types of wires, din rail, wire duct, mounting screws and fasteners, and other commodities required for building panels
• Components received check-in
• Must comply with all company policies and be able to work in way that does not endanger themselves and others
• Work independently as required to complete assigned tasks
• Efficiently and accurately complete work assigned by management
• Safe operation of forklifts to perform work
• Work overtime as needed
• Must be able to travel to customer sites if needed for installation
Requirements• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with electrical panel building
• Ability to identify areas of improvement for Prokuma
• Familiar with shop practices including drilling, tapping, cutting, crimping, torque-checking
• Ability to read prints and perform layout work
• Must be able to supply own hand tools
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and perform work layout
• Ability to communicate with others effectively
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner with multiple team members in different departments
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy is a plus
• Desire to improve existing and/or develop new skills
• General knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC and/or UL508A requirements
