Responsibilities
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, and filters using appropriate tools and techniques
- Learn to operate ladders safely for accessing high or hard-to-reach areas during cleaning tasks
- Support heavy lifting activities involved in removing and installing exhaust components
- Participate in outdoor work environments, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Use fire extinguishers and other safety equipment correctly during routine tasks and emergency situations
- Perform manual handling tasks to transport equipment and materials efficiently and safely
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of work sites through industrial cleaning practices such as floor buffing and debris removal
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn manual handling techniques and safe ladder use for working at heights
- Basic understanding or interest in industrial cleaning processes and commercial kitchen environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety guidelines for outdoor work settings
- Prior experience with outdoor work or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required—training will be provided
- Good physical fitness with the stamina to undertake manual tasks over extended periods
