Location : Main Hospital, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, MAIN, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Duration : 3 months contract (with a possibility for an extension. But, no guarantees)
Education : Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)
Shift Details : 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
Job Description:
- Provides nutrition care under supervision of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
- Implements and monitors nutritional interventions as directed by the RDN.
- Calculates and documents patient calorie/nutrient intake.
- Assists RDs with data collection and input into diet analysis software.
- Educates patients/families on special diets, formulas, and nutrition needs.
- Understands use of commercial supplements, tube feeding, infant formula, and feeding modulars.
- Provides lactation education and assists with breast pump maintenance.
- Uses aseptic technique and follows all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Participates in creating educational materials and supporting lactation programs.
- Basic knowledge of pediatric medical nutrition therapy.
