Job Summary
The Cyber Threat Analyst monitors, investigates, and responds to cybersecurity threats by analyzing alerts and system data, helping protect the organization’s digital environment and improve threat detection.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze alerts from SIEM, EDR, and cloud platforms.
- Perform triage and in-depth investigations to assess threats and impact.
- Correlate data across systems to validate incidents and identify root causes.
- Escalate confirmed threats with clear documentation and evidence.
- Maintain detection rules, dashboards, and threat intelligence data (IOCs).
- Document incidents, support reporting, and participate in team collaboration.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in security operations or threat analysis.
- Experience with SIEM/EDR tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with scripting/query languages (Python, KQL, SQL, PowerShell) preferred.
- Relevant certifications (Security , GSEC, GCIH) and cloud knowledge are a plus.
