Role Description
PROK is looking for a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support our Engineering and Manufacturing teams by producing accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and bills of material for conveyor rollers, idlers, and associated fabricated steel structures/frames.
This full-time, entry-level, on-site role, based in Salt Lake City, UT, is drafting- and documentation-focused, turning requirements, redlines, and engineering direction into clean, buildable, shop-ready deliverables while helping us continuously improve drawing standards, templates, and drafting workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and revise 3D parametric models and 2D manufacturing drawings for conveyor rollers/idlers and related structures/frames.
- Convert engineering direction, markups, and customer specifications into clean, accurate shop-ready drawings.
- Apply redlines and manage revisions quickly and consistently (revision discipline, clear change communication).
- Generate and maintain BOMs and drawing outputs that align with manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain drawing standards: templates, layers/styles, title blocks, drawing notes, and part/assembly documentation practices.
- Review customer specifications and clarify deliverable with Engineers and Sales to ensure alignment with scope clarity.
- Assist with layout assemblies and basic concept detailing as needed to support Engineering.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and the Workshop to resolve drawing/documentation issues that impact production.
- Identify and recommend improvements to drafting processes, templates, and documentation workflows.
Skills & Qualifications
- Trade Certificate, Diploma, or Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Design, or similar (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong ability to create consistent, accurate manufacturing drawings with good dimensioning practice and attention to detail.
- Experience creating parametric parts/assemblies and producing clear drawings for fabrication/manufacturing.
- Organized file management habits and strong revision control discipline.
- Ability to take direction, ask smart questions, and apply feedback.
- Reliable, communicative, and team-oriented.
- Industry exposure helpful: manufacturing and/or mining environments.
