Purpose Of Position
Analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):
- Maintain databases of logistics information.
- Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
- Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
- Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supplychain efficiency, or minimize cost.
- Remotely monitor the flow of vehicles or inventory, using Webbased logistics information systems to track vehicles or containers.
- Track product flow from origin to final delivery.
- Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
- Enter logisticsrelated data into databases.
- Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.
- Must possess DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must pass Drug and Alcohol Test
- Three Five years of related experience.
- Experience with Open and Closed Document Control Register (DCR) in the GCSSArmy system
- Experience in DoD Acquisition Logistics
- High School diploma, bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired.
- May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distance.
- Work environment is predominately office
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate a computer for extended periods of time
- Must be able to operate a phone both making and receiving calls and taking or conveying information
- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
