We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Fundraising & Development Director/Manager to lead the growth of our nonprofit. This individual will be responsible for building strong donor relations, expanding fundraising efforts, engaging Muslim communities, building the team up, and supporting organizational development. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit fundraising, strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to inspire donors by connecting with Islamic charitable values such as Zakat, Sadaqah, Qurbani, Ramadan, and Dhul Hijjah.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase donor base and annual revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, mosques, Islamic centers, and community leaders.
• Deliver faith-informed motivational talks at fundraising events, community gatherings, and online campaigns.
• Plan and execute seasonal fundraising campaigns (Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah, Qurbani, Zakat drives, etc.).
• Manage online donation platforms, crowdfunding campaigns, and donor communications.
Development & Strategy
• Work closely with the President to create a growth roadmap for the organization.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with foundations, corporations, and grant providers.
• Support program development and alignment with donor interests and community needs.
• Represent P4H at networking events, conferences, and meetings to expand visibility.
Organizational Growth & Team Building
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support fundraising and events.
• Oversee part-time staff (accountant, social media manager) and expand the team as needed.
• Develop systems for accountability, transparency, and donor reporting.
• Provide regular updates to the President and board on fundraising progress and donor engagement.
Project Support & Oversight
• Travel occasionally to Bangladesh to visit projects, strengthen partnerships, and provide donor updates.
• Ensure accurate impact reporting and storytelling from field projects.
• Collaborate with implementation partners to align field activities with donor expectations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or community leadership.
• Strong management and leadership skills, with proven ability to guide staff, volunteers, and teams.
• Strong understanding of Islamic charitable giving traditions (Zakat, Sadaqah, Qurbani, Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah).
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in donor cultivation and fundraising campaigns.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build systems for organizational growth.
• Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally (Bangladesh).
• Fluency in Bangla, Urdu or Arabic is a plus.
