What are the responsibilities and job description for the Studio Administrator position at Project X Dance Company LLC?
Project X Dance Company is seeking a dependable, highly organized, and personable Studio Administrator to help manage the day-to-day operations of our busy, competitive dance studio.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment, enjoys working with children and families, and can confidently keep a fast-paced studio running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is mature, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, teachers, and visitors.
- Greet families and maintain a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer questions, respond to inquiries, and assist families with studio information, schedules, and registrations.
- Help maintain an orderly front desk, lobby, and waiting areas.
Daily Studio Operations
- Monitor daily class schedules and help ensure classes begin and end on time.
- Supervise common areas and ensure students are behaving appropriately, following studio rules, and respecting the facility.
- Communicate with teachers and studio leadership to address scheduling issues, student concerns, and daily operational needs.
- Assist with student check-ins, attendance, and maintaining an organized flow of classes.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
Studio Cleanliness & Organization
Maintaining a clean, organized facility is an essential part of this position.
- Perform daily cleaning and tidying of bathrooms, dance studios, lobby, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, wipe down surfaces, empty trash, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Keep waiting areas, storage spaces, and shared areas neat and organized.
- Complete routine cleaning tasks before, during, and after classes as needed.
- Take pride in ensuring the studio is consistently clean, presentable, and ready for our students and families.
We have a professional cleaning service that visits weekly; however, daily hands-on cleaning and upkeep are a regular and important responsibility of this position.

- Assist with class scheduling, schedule changes, and studio calendar updates.
- Coordinate optional competition, convention, workshop, and event registrations.
- Help organize studio events, performances, rehearsals, and special activities.
- Maintain accurate records, registration information, and administrative documentation.

- Friendly, patient, and confident interacting with both parents and children.
- Comfortable enforcing studio policies and addressing student behavior appropriately.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay composed in a busy environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and basic office software.
- Previous experience in office administration, customer service, school administration, or a youth-focused environment is preferred.
- Dance studio experience is a plus, but not required.
Schedule
Regular Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Approximately 32 hours per week, with occasional schedule adjustments or additional hours for studio events and performances.
Who Will Succeed in This Role?
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys keeping things running smoothly. This is not a position where you simply sit behind a desk and answer phones.
Our ideal candidate notices when a bathroom needs attention, a lobby needs straightening, a class is running late, or a parent needs assistance—and takes initiative to handle it.
You should be equally comfortable greeting a new family, helping organize a studio event, addressing student behavior, and ensuring the facility looks its best.
If you are dependable, organized, hardworking, and take pride in creating a well-run, welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you.
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
