Job Title: Home Visitation Coordinator

Summary
The Home Visitation Coordinator at Project Wiggles and Giggles supports the Behavioral Education Support (BSE) Program at improving outcomes, services, and quality of life for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. This role coordinates intake, referrals of research activities within home visitation, ensures ethical and regulatory compliance, and works closely with individuals with disabilities, families, clinicians, and research partners. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to serving families and children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Research Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the home visitation program and autism-related research studies conducted within the BSE Program.
- Prepare and maintain intake documents, regulatory documents, consent/assent forms, study logs, and research records
- Assist with protocol development, amendments, continuing reviews, and reporting
Family Engagement
- Support recruitment, intake, enrollment, and retention of individuals with ASD and related disabilities to their families through the home visitation program.
- Conduct informed consent and assent procedures using accessible, family-centered communication
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for participants, caregivers, and community partners
- Coordinate scheduling of research visits, assessments, and follow-ups
Data Collection & Management
- Collect, enter, and maintain accurate data in approved data management systems
- Administer or assist with standardized assessments, interviews, and questionnaires as trained
- Monitor data quality, confidentiality, and secure storage of sensitive information
- Assist with data cleaning and preparation for analysis and reporting
Collaboration & Program Integration
- Collaborate with Autism Clinic clinicians, therapists, program staff, and external research partners
- Integrate research activities into clinical and programmatic workflows while minimizing participant burden
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and planning sessions
- Communicate study progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders
Training & Quality Improvement
- Assist with training and supervision of students, interns, or research assistants as needed
- Support audits, monitoring visits, and continuous quality improvement efforts
- Stay current on best practices in autism research, ethics, and disability-affirming approaches
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, public health, education, or a related field
- Knowledge of research ethics, informed consent, and data confidentiality
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
Certification, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Alabama Driver’s License
Pay: $23,000.00 - $27,000.00 per year
