Role Description
This role of Project Safety Consultant to support an Owner’s Representative project in Newton, North Carolina, entails leading and managing health and safety initiatives during construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting safety analyses, implementing risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards, investigating incidents, and delivering HSE training programs to project teams. The consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Project Details:
• $90/hour
• 50 hours per week
• 4-month project
• 1099 (LLC required)
• Immediate start
Qualifications/What You Need:
Candidates should have 7 years of construction experience with BCSP certifications or an EHS-related degree preferred.
Experience in industrial, heavy electrical, power generation, oil & gas, or data centers is a plus.
Knowledge and experience in Safety Engineering and Process Safety
Expertise in Occupational Health and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
Background in developing and delivering HSE Training programs
Proficiency in risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and safety program design
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Proven experience in incident investigation and reporting
Familiarity with electrical safety planning is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field preferred
OSHA certification(s) and other relevant credentials are highly desirable
