Senior Project Manager – EPC & Infrastructure Projects

Location: Spring, TX

Travel: Up to 50-75% based on project requirements

Vehicle Allowance: Provided

Per Diem: Available for qualifying assignments

Work Arrangement: On-Site


Position Overview

A nationally recognized engineering, procurement, and construction organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex Design-Build and EPC projects from initial planning through final completion.

This role will provide leadership and oversight for engineering, procurement, construction, scheduling, project controls, subcontract management, and client relations while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of accountability for project execution and will work closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and executive leadership to drive successful outcomes across large-scale infrastructure, industrial, energy, and mission-critical projects.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead multidisciplinary Design-Build and EPC project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, including preconstruction and pursuit activities when required.
  • Direct engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls functions to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Establish project execution plans, staffing strategies, budgets, schedules, and performance objectives.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for all project activities from conceptual development through final turnover.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain schedule and budget objectives.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary client-facing leader throughout project execution.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve project issues, disputes, and commercial matters in a proactive and professional manner.
  • Foster collaborative relationships that support successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Administer prime contracts, subcontract agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Manage change orders, contract modifications, claims avoidance strategies, and commercial negotiations.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement activities, including scope development and bid evaluations.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices, vendor payments, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain project Schedule of Values and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure timely billing and collection of project revenues.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all project-specific safety requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of quality assurance and quality control programs.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and adherence to applicable regulations and client standards.
  • Conduct project audits and performance reviews to verify compliance with contractual obligations and organizational procedures.

Scheduling & Project Controls

  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, procurement, and field teams to develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress against established milestones and performance metrics.
  • Review forecasting reports related to cost, schedule, productivity, and resource allocation.
  • Lead monthly project reviews and executive reporting activities.

Team Development

  • Directly supervise Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project personnel.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Build high-performing teams focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering evaluations.
  • Oversee Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and project documentation.
  • Manage project closeout, warranty administration, and lessons learned reviews.
  • Participate in business development and proposal efforts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and industry experience will be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience leading Design-Build and EPC projects.
  • Experience managing large-scale industrial, infrastructure, utility, energy, mission-critical, or power-related projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methods, contract administration, and construction operations.

  • Construction management platforms
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
