Position Summary
Project Passion is seeking a highly organized and experienced Part-Time Grants Manager to lead all aspects of our grant development and management process. This individual will identify new funding opportunities, write compelling proposals, manage existing grant portfolios, and ensure compliance with all grant reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community empowerment and possess a proven track record of securing funding for nonprofit programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify federal, state, local, and private funding opportunities aligned with Project Passion’s mission.
- Develop and maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines and renewals.
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data, budgets, and narratives.
- Oversee post-award grant administration and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
- Track deliverables, expenditures, and performance metrics; prepare progress reports.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundations, government agencies, and corporate funders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in nonprofit grant writing and management.
- Demonstrated success securing grants from foundations, corporations, and/or government sources.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Commitment to Project Passion’s mission of community empowerment and equity.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of grant management software
- Experience with disaster recovery, community development, or community-focused initiatives.
- Familiarity with the Pasadena/Altadena and Los Angeles County philanthropic landscape.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
