The Food Pantry Coordinator oversees the daily operations of ProJeCt of Easton's Food Pantry, ensuring efficient, safe, and compassionate distribution of food to community members in need. This position supports ProJeCt's mission to build a stronger community by helping individuals and families move from crisis to self-sufficiency through access to food and essential resources.Key Responsibilities Pantry OperationsCoordinate and supervise the daily operations of the food pantry, including food distribution, inventory management, and volunteer coordination.Ensure compliance with food safety and handling standards as outlined by Second Harvest Food Bank and the PA Department of Agriculture.Maintain accurate records of food inventory, donations, and client data.Manage pantry schedule, including volunteer shifts, deliveries, and special distributions.Oversee cleanliness, organization, and safety of the pantry facility.Volunteer & Community Partner CoordinationRecruit, train, and supervise pantry volunteers to ensure an efficient, respectful, and client-centered environment.Serve as primary liaison with Second Harvest Food Bank and retail recovery partners for food sourcing and reporting.Coordinate food drives and community donation efforts in collaboration with staff and external partners, including some Saturday donations.Client ServicesEnsure a welcoming and dignified experience for all pantry clients.Track client data and trends to support reporting and program improvement.Collaborate with ProJeCt's education and case management teams to connect clients with additional resources and programs.Administration & ReportingPrepare and submit monthly reports to Second Harvest Food Bank and internal leadership.Assist with data collection and evaluation for grant reporting and program outcomes.Support budgeting and supply management within program guidelines.Work Schedule and CompensationPart-time; approximately 20–25 hours per week.Schedule includes weekday hours and occasional evening or weekend events.Compensation commensurate with experience.QualificationsAssociate's degree or equivalent experience in human services, nonprofit management, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years' experience in food pantry, social services, or volunteer management.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.Competency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Outlook and basic data entry systems.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and to ProJeCt's mission of empowering individuals and strengthening the community.Education/ExperienceAssociate degree preferredTwo years of food pantry, and/or social services/case management experience is preferred.
