Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care and overseeing clinical operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managed care, clinical research, and healthcare management, with a deep understanding of medical terminology and regulations. This leadership role requires a commitment to improving patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the clinical operations of the facility, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures in alignment with NCQA standards and FDA regulations.
  • Manage utilization management processes to optimize resource allocation and patient outcomes.
  • Supervise medical staff, providing guidance and support to enhance clinical performance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare management teams to develop strategic initiatives that improve service delivery.
  • Conduct clinical research projects, analyzing data to inform evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient records and confidentiality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHR systems and EMR systems to streamline documentation processes.
  • Participate in budgeting activities related to clinical operations, ensuring financial sustainability.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Proven experience in project management within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with hospital experience and medical management practices.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
  • Experience with supervising staff in a clinical environment.
  • Proficient in managing medical records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Expertise in clinical development and research methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of managed care principles and utilization management strategies. This role is essential for driving excellence in patient care while fostering an environment of continuous improvement within our organization. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $41.40 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

  • As Medical Director, you will work closely with the Administrator/CEO. How do you see your role in supporting business goals while upholding medical ethics?
  • If asked to draft a new policy for infection control, prescribing practices, or patient rights, what steps would you take to ensure it is compliant and practical for daily use?
  • Where do you see outpatient care evolving in the next 5 years, and how would you position PJM Clinic to be a leader in that growth?

Education:

  • Doctorate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Medical Director : 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Medical License (Preferred)
  • Medical degree (Preferred)
