What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Research & Policy Intern position at Project Mona's House?
To perform research about human trafficking legislation and criminal cases, manage and update our survivor-advocacy project Names You Should Know, write articles about human trafficking, create advocacy material surrounding relevant legislation, attend meetings with community partners, attend client meetings, attend any trials, hearings, arguments, and depositions, etc.
Must have a strong passion for social justice and human rights, the ability to organize and prioritize workload, ability to attend events on the weekends if needed, strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills, & be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
A writing sample will be required. Accepting interns on a rolling basis for summer 2024 and fall 2024. All positions are unpaid, students are encouraged to seek outside funding and/or academic credit from their universities.
