What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineer / Starting Field Superintendent position at Project Land?
Build What Matters. Join Project Land as Our New Field Engineer / Starting Superintendent.
At Project Land, we’re not just constructing buildings—we’re shaping the future of South Florida housing. Our developments provide high-quality homes for families in growing metropolitan areas, and we take pride in doing it with care, precision, and integrity. We believe that the earliest phases of construction are where vision becomes reality—and that’s where you come in.
We're looking for a Field Engineer / Starting Field Superintendent to join our growing team and take a leadership role in one of our newest ground-up multifamily projects. This is more than a job—it’s a launchpad for a meaningful career in construction management, where you’ll be mentored, challenged, and given the runway to grow fast.
What You’ll Do
From the first shovel in the ground to vertical construction, you’ll be on the front lines—learning how multifamily developments come to life and taking ownership of site coordination, quality, and logistics. You’ll work side-by-side with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, gaining experience that books simply can’t teach.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Coordinating on-site activities including safety, quality assurance, and schedule execution
- Reviewing drawings, submittals, and construction schedules to stay ahead of the curve
- Managing site logistics: deliveries, staging, and equipment use
- Building relationships with subcontractors and ensuring smooth communication across teams
- Conducting quality control checks and documenting progress
- Supporting project budgeting, cost control, and daily reporting
- Participating in jobsite meetings and learning how real-time decisions shape the job
Who You Are
You’re ambitious, coachable, and thrive when there’s a challenge in front of you. You want to be hands-on, not stuck behind a desk. And you’re ready to grow into someone who can lead a site with confidence.
You bring:
- A B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- A strong desire to learn the full lifecycle of multifamily construction
- Familiarity with construction documents, building systems, and safety standards
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Tech-savviness (MS Office is a must; Procore is a plus)
- A serious work ethic and sense of ownership—we count on you to deliver
Why Project Land?
We’re a vertically integrated real estate development firm with a mission to create value-driven, well-designed housing that makes a real impact on families and communities. Our team is small, agile, and deeply committed to craftsmanship, efficiency, and doing things the right way.
At Project Land, you’ll get:
- Real ownership early in your career—your voice and your work matter
- Exposure to the full development cycle, from acquisition to design to delivery
- A collaborative team that invests in your mentorship and growth
- The chance to work on signature buildings that shape the Miami skyline
- A company culture rooted in learning, excellence, and purpose
- Competitive salary and full benefits
