What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Services Specialist position at Project Hospitality?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-tenancy Activities such as, but not limited to, housing search/navigation, housing applications, lease negotiation support and screening assistance,
- Tenancy sustaining activities such as, but not limited to, short-term rental assistance, utility payment assistance, recertification, resolving disputes with landlords to reduce eviction
- Community transitional supports such as, but not limited to, paying security deposits, pest eradication, pantry stocking, and providing household supplies & furnishing.
- Maintain complete and accurate client files/documentation; ensure quality assurance. Data entry
- Attend scheduled supervision sessions, case conferences, and training as required.
Qualifications
- This position requires previous experience working with the housing of disadvantaged populations.
- Experience in housing placement, lease negotiation, and navigating housing services is required.
- Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions is needed.
- In addition, the Housing Service Specialist shall perform any duties as required to meet the needs of the program and the clients we serve.
