The Accountant will oversee the responsibilities below, providing strategic financial guidance to ensure the agency's financial health and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the finance department in day-to-day operations
- Develop and monitor financial strategies to support agency growth
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP standards
- Oversee fiscal management, budgeting, month end financial reporting, and forecasting processes
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general accounting functions
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls for financial processes
- Oversight of grant draws, payroll, bank reconciliations, tax liabilities, W2's, prep for annual audit
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in accounting and compliance management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and financial regulations
- Non-profit experience, integrity, passion for the mission
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise effectively
