Description

We are seeking an experienced and committed Program Manager to join our dynamic and innovative organization. The Program Manager of Multidisciplinary Teams reports directly to the Director of Multidisciplinary Teams and is responsible for providing leadership related to the case coordination within the child abuse and neglect multi-disciplinary teams within designated service areas. Created by state statute, these teams improve communication during and after the child abuse investigation, ensure accountability within the team response and enhance access to services for child victims and their family members.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and leadership of case coordinators ensuring consistent case review, positive team functioning and follow-through on recommendation
  • Assist Director as needed to enhance and support efforts to build positive relationships with internal and external Project Harmony partners
  • Monitor quality and consistency of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring protocols are developed, implemented and evaluated regularly
  • Assist Director to develop policies and procedures related to the operations of multi-disciplinary team services
  • Ensure a comprehensive review of child abuse and neglect reports received by law enforcement and child protective services pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat.
  • 28-710 and provide a summary of that review to the multidisciplinary team for the purpose of measuring effectiveness and addressing system improvements where needed
  • Assist in hiring process of coordination staff and evaluation of staff development and performance
  • Ensure MDT members receive applicable operational and cross-discipline training as it relates to the collaborative efforts of the MDT
  • Coordinate new team member orientation on a monthly or as-needed basis
  • Assist Director as needed to work with research/data team to monitor utilization, costs, evaluate services and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with NCA Standards of Accreditation for Case Coordination
  • Ensure culturally competent services are provided to all families we serve without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, gender or sexual orientation
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Multidisciplinary Teams

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in social work, counseling, psychology or other related field with equivalent relevant experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience and Training

  • Previous professional experience in child welfare
  • Previous experience in facilitation of multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of the dynamics of child abuse and of roles of law enforcement, child protection services, mental health and medical community
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills (written, verbal and active listening)
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Knowledge and understanding of family violence and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect
  • Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, Access and Outlook
  • Must respect and maintain confidentiality

Other

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours
  • Must submit and successfully pass a criminal history background check
  • Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Position may involve some travel, primarily within the state
